Income Report May 2016 – USD 683

On today’s post I will analyze the revenues generated by my website ventures, and do a full income report for the month of May

Before I used to do my income report directly on my niche sites, but it was quite confusing as they would often have absolutely nothing related with the niche on the website. Now that I have started earnwp, this is the perfect place to bulk together all my blogging income and explain it here.

May was a relative average month without many ups and downs. As I start to move on all the income reports to this website, it will be easy to access how this are going. To monetize my websites at the moment I only just two forms of monetization: affiliate marketing and Google Adsense.

Affiliate Marketing:

I try to diversify as much as possible my affiliate income. That means I try to generate affiliate income from different programs, different countries and different kind of items. It’s an essential way to protect yourself from market volatility, seasonality and other eventual problems.

Google Adsense:

I have been using Google Adsense for the past 8 years and I have managed to get a decent amount of money from it, however it’s not enough to cover my costs, I hope I can find a way to improve this somehow targeting high net worth audiences.

Unique Visitors: In the month of June I gathered roughly 330,000 unique visitors being those 300,000 on Youtube and 30,000 on my websites.

Income Report May 2016:

Affiliate Marketing Income (Breakdown by currency):

USD: 528.35
GBP: 18.86
EUR: 53.83
BRL: 61

Total Affiliate Revenue: 632.19

Adsense Income USD: 130

Total Revenue: USD 762

Expenses

Youtube Revenue Share: USD 70
Domain and hosting: USD 0

I haven’t bought any domain this month, neither paid for hosting (I usually pay it on 6-month to 1-year cycles).

Total Income: USD 683

I am quite satisfied with this income, as I have started with affiliate marketing less than one year ago and it’s looking quite promising, I hope to expand the niches in which I am operating, to diversify my online Income, which I consider a vital for guaranteeing a steady source of revenue on the Internet.
